Mr. Alan Bruce Kimball, Sr., age 77,a resident of 2719 Hicksboro Road, Henderson, died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Duke Regional Hosptial in Durham.Born on September 7, 1939 in Cortland County, NY, he was the son of the late Ernest Kimball and Leila Utter Kimball.He was retired from Cornell University and was a volunteer formany Vance County organizations.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Milton Abbott.
Mr. Kimball is survived by his wife, Marjorie Westfall Kimball of the home; two daughters, Barbara Melly and husband Frank of Ithaca, NY and Trina Dale and husband Jim of Henderson; two sons, Alan Bruce Kimball, Jr. of Moravia, NY and Christopher Kimball and wife Debbie of Efland; two brothers, Robert Kimball and family of El Paso, TX and Ernie Kimball (Debbie) of FL; one special niece Robin Owens of Wilmington; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home.
