HENDERSON- Albert Lee Perdue, Sr., age 86, a resident of Henderson, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.Born in Vance County on March 29, 1928 he was the son of the late John Thomas Perdue and Mattie Lee Parrish Perdue.He was retired from Chex Truck Stop where he worked as a tire repairman.He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Gardens conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Mr. Perdue is survived by his wife, Ruby Carter Perdue of the home; a step-daughter, Mary Overby of Henderson; two brothers, Hartwell Perdue of Norfolk ,VA and Kenneth Perdue of Henderson; two sisters, Ada White and Shirley Allgood both of Henderson; a grandson, Bobby Overby, Jr.; and two great-grand daughters, Payton Overby and Trinity Overby.
He was preceded in death by a son, Albert Lee Perdue, Jr.; four brothers, Roy Perdue, Willard Perdue, James Perdue and Junie Perdue; and two sisters, Lucille Butler and Mattie Pearl Clifford.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mary and Bobby Overby, 349 Kelly Road, Henderson.
