HENDERSON-Albert Walker Talbert, 74, a resident of 141 Garden Walk Drive, died Tuesday, May 01, 2018, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.Born on September 24, 1943 in Martinsville, VA, he was the son of the late Bennie Walker Talbert and Ninnia Gilly Talbert.
He was a retired Security Guard at Revlon and a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Blessed Hope Baptist Church by Dr. Donald A. Perkinson and the Rev. Jonathan Owens.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Witherspoon Talbert of the home; two daughters, Merlinda Maddox and Dee Dee Talbert of Martinsville, VA; one step-daughter, Sharon Null of Henderson; one step-son, Michael Null of Henderson; and nine grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Talbert and Helen Wall.
The family will receive friends on Thursday prior to the service from 1 until 2 pm at Blessed Hope Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home at 141 Garden Walk Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 741 Dabney Road, Henderson, NC27537.
