Alice Ayscue Blackmon

Alice Ayscue Blackmon, age 80, a resident of 2365 Ross Mill Rd., died Friday June 8, 2012 at Maria Parham Medical Center. Born on November 5, 1931 in Vance Co. she was the daughter of the late Raymond Ayscue and Odezie Ellington Ayscue. She was the widow of James Richard Boots Blackmon. Alice was retired from Continental Hosiery Mill and was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ricky Easter and the Rev. Aubrey Florence. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by one daughter Darlene B. Lassiter and husband Jimmy of Henderson; and her beloved friends Katherine Hoyle and Rita Poole.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jake Roberson, and Deacons of Victory Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 at the J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home.
