Alice Bridges Edwards

HENDERSON-Alice Bridges Edwards, 86, a resident of Gillburg Rd., passed away Sunday March 30, 2025, at her daughter’s home. Born April 21, 1938 in Wake Co., she was the daughter of the late Margaret Bridgers Bridges and Robert Eulon Bridges and was the widow of Bobby June Edwards. Alice was a member of Unity Baptist Church. A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday April 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bridges Family Cemetery, 440 Gillburg Rd. Henderson, NC, by the Rev. Calvin Hedgepeth. Alice is survived by one daughter, Deborah Beckham (Andrew) of Henderson; one son, Craig Edwards (Carol) of Henderson; four grandchildren, Lauren Edwards, Lindsey Collier (Daniel), Melissa Marshburn (Michael), and Kenneth Collins Jr. (Kelli); six great grandchildren, Bryson Collier, Dylan Marshburn (Anna Macon), Hayley Montgomery (Jabe), Trevor Collins, Trista Collins, and Kaelynn Collins; and two great-great grandchildren, Powell Marshburn and Perry Marshburn. In addition to her to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Angelia Edwards, and one brother Jimmie Bridges. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and at other times they will be at the home of Andrew and Deborah Beckham, 811 South Lake Lodge Rd. or at the home of Craig and Carol Edwards, 416 Gillburg Rd.
