Alice Huff Harris, age 96, a resident of 820 Coble Blvd., died Friday, June 19, 2015 in a local nursing home. A native of Vance Co. she was the daughter of the late John J. Huff and Irene Hunt Huff and was the widow of Dorsey Harris. Mrs. Harris was a charter member and oldest member of Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church, formerly know as Thomas Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she formerly taught the Adult Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am at Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Michael Bryant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived two grandsons, Ricky Harris (Teresa) and Greg Harris (Terry) all of Henderson; daughter in law Mary Ann Harris of Henderson; three great grandchildren Meagan Edgerton, Brandon Harris, and Cassie Harris; and two great great grandchildren Ayden Edgerton and Levi Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her son John Thomas Harris.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 until 830 at the J, M, White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Mary Ann Harris 5339 Vicksboro Rd.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Curtis Jackson, Mark Brame, Larry Brame, Ray Patrick, Robert Lester and Johnny Dickerson.
