Alice Holliday Watkins

HENDERSON- Alice Dare Holliday Watkins, 89, of Fernwood Court, died Saturday, March 29, 2025. Born November 15, 1935 in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Mozelle Boyette Holliday and Donnie Franklin Holliday. Alice was a member of First Presbyterian Church Henderson where she formerly served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. She was also a former member of the Woodland Garden Club, was an avid bridge player and volunteered at Maria Parham Hospital. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April, 3, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church Henderson by Rev. David Fuentes. Mrs. Watkins is survived by two daughters, Charisse W. Lassiter (Steve) and Dee W. Moss (Paul), both of Henderson; her son, Samuel M. Watkins, III (Sarah) of Wake Forest; and four grandchildren, Will Moss (Ashleigh), Curt Lassiter, Sawyer Watkins and Jesse Watkins. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
