He was a member of Peaces Chapel Baptist Church where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm by the Rev. Bruce Brooks.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Robinson Cole of the home; two sons, Linwood Allen Cole of Oxford and Larry Neal Cole of Kittrell; two daughters, Pamela Cole Daniel of Butner and Glenda Cole Short of Kittrell; five grandchildren, Philip Daniel, Susan Daniel, Ashlee Evans, Dare Cole, and Ethan Cole; and two great grandchildren, Luke Daniel and Bradlee Evans.
He is also survived by his siblings, James Cole of Kittrell, Joyce Ball of Dallas, TX, Judy Milton of Wilton, Ann Kittrell of Goldsboro, Elaine Hilliard of Henderson, Mildred Jackson of Kittrell, Dennis Cole of Yanceyville, and Bobby Cole of Oxford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Linda Cole, Charles Cole, Shirley Faulkner, and Mary Frances Jones.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:30 PM to 2 PM at Peaces Chapel Baptist Church. At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Ethan Cole, Jimmy Daniel, Philip Daniel, Nelson Thomasson, David Short, Dennis Cole, Dan Robinson, Tim Robinson, Bobby Cole, and James Cole. Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Daniel, Bradlee Evans, Ashlee Evans, Dare Cole, and Susan Daniel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peaces Chapel Baptist Church c/o Frank Frazier, 4149 Sawmill Rd, Oxford, NC 27565.
