HENDERSON-Alridge Edward Woodlief, age 55, a resident of 466 Buckskin Lane, died Friday, September 16, 2016, at his home.Born in Vance County on April 5, 1961, he was the son of Kenneth Edward Woodlief and wife, Velvet of Henderson and the late Gaynell Layton Woodlief.Alridge was an employee of M. R. Williams, Inc. and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 pm at Victory Baptist Church by the Rev. Ricky Easter.Burial will follow in the Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Lynn Smith Woodlief of the home; one daughter, Michelle W. Tharrington, and husband, Stewart of Omaha, Nebraska; one son, Andrew Woodlief of Henderson; one brother, Bradley Kevin Woodlief of Warrenton; and two grandchildren, Natalie Tharrington and Cole Tharrington.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Woodlief.
The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 1:30 until 3 pm at Victory Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home on Buckskin Lane.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Ben Layton, Keith Layton, Vince Boone, Jonathan Batten, Zachery Woodlief, Hunter Woodlief, Royal Long, and Ricky Pendergrass
