Amanda Gail Faulkner Cox, age 30, a resident of 211 Cheeks Quarter Road, died Sunday September 18, 2011.Born in Vance County on March 20, 1981, she was the daughter of Maurice Lee Faulkner and Kitty Marie Satterwhite Faulkner of Henderson.Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Allen Ayscue.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Chris Cox of Oxford; three daughters, Makayla Dawn Cox, Christen Gwyn Cox, and Courtney Ann Cox of Oxford; three sons, Shawn Austin Faulkner, and Nicholas Scott Faulkner of Henderson, and Christopher Scott Cox of Oxford; one sister, Lisa Marie Faulkner Nelms of Henderson; her maternal grandmother, Ann Satterwhite of Henderson; and her paternal grandparents, David and Rachel Faulkner of Castalia.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday night from 7:00 PM till 8:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Ann Satterwhite, 217 Garrett Road, Henderson.
Serving as active pallbearers will be James Satterwhite, Jr., Howard Faucette, Stephen Ellington, Roy Satterwhite, Glenn Satterwhite, Carlos Lopez and Calvin Hunt.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Amanda Cox Funeral Fun, C/O J.M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
