Amy Guerrant Whittemore

HENDERSON- Amy Guerrant Whittemore, 85, of 1342 S. Lynnbank Road, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at her home.Born in Vance County on November 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William Frank Guerrant and Roberta Juel Owen Guerrant. She was a member of Kittrell Baptist Church for over 50 years, was a member of the church's Women's Missionary Society and was a member of Cullem Baptist Association.She retired from Purolator where she worked as head of accounts payable for 34 years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Barbara Murphy and Rev. Tammy Ayscue.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Mrs. Whittemore is survived by her husband, Thomas Franklin Whittemore of the home; two daughters, Christine Brame and husband, Kim, of Henderson and Sheila Fleming and husband, Danny, of Kittrell; a son, Michael Whittemore and wife, Audrey, of Henderson; a daughter-in-law Desiree Whittemore; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Thomas Whittemore; four sisters, Mary Bell Bunn, Mozelle Boyd, Bertha Abbott and Lillie Mae Williamson; and three brothers, Willie Guerrant, Johnny Guerrant and Elmo Guerrant.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday at J.M. White Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 2:00pm and at other times at the home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Lassiter, Scott Brame, Chris Foster, Cale Hilliard, Mike Whittemore, Jr., Robert Olearo, Chad Whittemore and Brian Daniel.
