Andrew Earl Riggan, Sr.

Kittrell - Andrew Earl Riggan, Sr., 80, of Egypt Mountain Road, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Maria Parham Health. Born February 8, 1946 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Mary Bowes Riggan and Ollie Thomas Riggan, Sr. and was the widower of Mary Ann Tant Riggan. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in Vietnam. He retired from Murdoch Center where he was a health care technician.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Will Breedlove. Burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Gardens.

Earl is survived by three sons, Andy Riggan, Jr. (Robin) of Newport, Curtis Tant (Barbara) of Youngsville and Joe Wilson (Patricia) of Henderson; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Herrera of Angier; a daughter-in-law, Ann Wilson of Townsville; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Shelton Wilson.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home on Monday.

To honor Earl's wishes, everyone is encouraged to dress casually for the service.
