HENDERSON-Angela Wilson Matthews, 52, a resident of 9705 NC 39 Hwy. N, died Friday, March 20, 2020 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Vance County of July 13, 1967, she was the daughter of Wanda Gail Anthony Reid of Henderson and the late Bobby Lane Wilson, Sr.Angela was an Administrative Assistant at Oakwood Homes.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a graveside service for the family will be held Monday at 2 pm in the Tungsten Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Sam Brewer.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Matthews of the home; two daughters, Ashley Norwood (Cody) and Paige Vandall (Ben) all of Henderson; two sons, Christopher Matthews and Christian Matthews (Tania) all of Henderson; three grandchildren, Taylor Stainback, Lane Stainback, and Damian Matthews; one sister, Susan Nuttof Henderson; one brother, Bobby Wilson, Jr. of Henderson; and her step-father, John Reid. of Henderson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Warren Wilson.
The family will receive friends following the service at Tungsten Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home of Ashley Norwood at 5929 Vicksboro Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
