KITTRELL-Angela Marie "Angie" Briggs Hayes, 52, a resident of 3236 Bobbitt Road, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Duke University Hospital.Born on June 4, 1965 in Newport News, Virginia, she was the daughter of Shirley Preddy Briggs of Henderson and the late Hartwell Kenneth Briggs.Angie was a Benefits Specialist at Variety Wholesale where she worked for 30 years, and was a member of South Henderson Church of God.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at South Henderson Church of God by the Rev. Gary Harper.Burial will follow in the Plank Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Allen Hayes of the home; one daughter, Jessica Shirl Hayes of the home; a half-sister, Theresa Lorraine Bywater of Morongo Valley, California; one niece, Sarah Isenburg; and three nephews, Josh Brame, Cole Hayes, and Bruce Hayes.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Buck and Lessie Hicks Preddy; and her paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Mamie Bobbitt Briggs.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be John Carter, Junior Tucker, Buster Hicks, L. C. Medlin, C. T. Roberson, Johnnie Ausborne, Dennis Ausborne, Frank Leatherman, Gene Curtis, Randy Ball, Edward Wheeler, and Gilbert Wheeler.
Serving as honorary pall bearers will be the employees of the Human Resource Department of Variety Wholesale
