Ann H. Hilliard

HENDERSON- Ann Harper Hilliard, 88, of Spring Valley Lake Road, died Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 2, 1937 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Lillian Bowen Harper and William Presley Harper and was the widow of Charles William Hilliard, Sr. She was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church and the Joy Bible Class, she also was a longtime Sunday School Teacher in the nursery department. Her work history included working many years with Pioneer Savings Bank and more recently she was retired from the Family Foot and Ankle Center.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. by Rev. Eddie Nutt at Sunset Gardens.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy H. Pruitt (Randall); two sons, Charles W. Hilliard, Jr. (Krista) and Mark D. Hilliard (Susan), all of Henderson; five grandchildren, Amanda H. Wilkins (Powell), Chasity H. Godwin (Brent), Makayla P. Stallings (Joshua), Hunter Pruitt (Autumn) and Avery Hilliard; and seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Dawson, Maci, Anson, Emmett, Tatum and Briar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine H. Frye, Tessi H. Tunstall, Florence H. Myrick and Peggy H. Pegram; two brothers, Joseph W. Harper and Clarence Harper; a grandchild, Daniel Hilliard and a great grandchild, Emery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Godwin, Powell Wilkins, Joshua Stallings and Hunter Pruitt.

The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens on Tuesday.
