Ann Pendergrass Overton

HENDERSON- Ann Carol Pendergrass Overton, 76, of Tollie Weldon Road, died Friday, July 15, 2022 at her home. Born December 17, 1945 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Dickerson Pendergrass and Lewis Eugene Pendergrass. She was retired from Zeb Vance School where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a also a member of Central Baptist Church where she taught in the Youth Sunday School class and served on the fellowship committee. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 2:00PM at Central Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Mann and Rev. Allen Mustian. Ann is survived by her husband, Crowell Lee “Butch” Overton, Jr. of the home; her daughter, Angel Overton Hodges and husband, Gabe of Henderson; three grandchildren, Kelsey Marie Maddox, Meagan Maddox Dickerson and Jesse Overton Hodges; five great-grandchildren, Lacey Dickerson, Colton Maddox, Aden Dickerson, Levi Dickerson and Kayson Dickerson; a brother, Kenneth Pendergrass and wife. Pam, of Henderson; and three sisters, Betty Reid and husband, Alan, Linda Pace and husband, Tommy, Patricia Holland and husband, Mike, all of Henderson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Perkinson and Sherby Guill; and a brother, Dwight Pendergrass. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at Central Baptist Church and at other times at the home, 1146 Tollie Weldon Road, Henderson, NC 27537. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 2574 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
