Anna Reynolds Smith, 72, a resident of Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Saturday, February 16, 2019.Born in Georgetown, Kentucky on August 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Alexander Reynolds and Mary Louise Peoples Reynolds, and was the widow of Charles Smith.Mrs. Smith was of the Christian faith and enjoyed reading her Bible when she was able.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 3 pm at Liberty Christian Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon and the Rev. Caroline Allen.
She is survived by one daughter, Joann Smith Johnson (Todd) of Epsom; two sons, Charles Markham "Mark" Smith of Epsom and Jimmy McKinney Reynolds of Waynsboro; ten grandchildren, including a special grandson, Brandon Thomas Smith; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Vickie R. Harris, Sandra R. Grissom, Sharon R. Haskins, and Marion R. Harris all of Henderson; four brothers, Jackie Reynolds of Warrenton and Jerry Reynolds, John Reynolds, and Donnie Reynolds of Henderson.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by one son, Michael Thomas "Mike" Smith; and one brother, Earl Reynolds.
On Thursday, February 28, 2019 the family will start receiving friends at the home of Joann and Todd Johnson at 8369 NC Hwy. 39 South, Henderson, NC, and will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a children’s charity of one’s choice.
