Anne Rose Harris Coghill, 87 of Henderson, NC died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Maria Parham Hospital.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late William Leonidas Harris and Maude Nelson Harris.
Mrs. Coghill was a former Executive Secretary for the Bright Belt Tobacco Association and retired from the accounting firm Holden, Moss, Knott, Clark and Taylor. She was member of the Wilson Womens Club, DAR, Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Wilson, NC and a
member of First Baptist Church, Henderson, NC. Affectionately known as "Gaga" by her grandchildren, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending Wolfpack Football games, playing bridge and traveling. She was an avid supporter of the College of Agriculture and
Life Sciences (CALS) at NC State University and the SPOT, in Wilson NC, an organization devoted to caring for children and co-founded by her late husband Marvin W. Coghill.
A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Gardens in Henderson and will be conducted by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.
Friends may view Mrs. Coghill on Friday, February 19, from 1-5pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Surviving are her sons Jeffrey K. Fleming and his wife Kim of Henderson and their children, Lauren LaPaglia and her husband Patrick of Atlanta, GA; Peyton of New York, NY; and Harrison of Madrid, Spain; Bradley H. Fleming and his wife Lara and their children Noah and Abigail Rose
of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by three sisters Betty Harris Dickerson of Henderson, Nancy Harris Bobbitt and her husband Ruxton Bobbitt Sr. of Henderson, and Gayle Harris Hollingsworth and husband
Winston Hollingsworth of Rich Square, NC; and brother-in-law Edgar Robertson also of Henderson.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Roger K. Fleming and Marvin W. Coghill; and three sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Harris Pernell, Jane Harris Robertson, and Miriam "Mickey" Harris Ausborn; and three brothers, William L. Harris, Britt Harris, and Brooks Harris.
