Antoinette “Anne” Reavis Creech, 90 a resident of Nutbush Road, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, December 10, 2021 at Franklin Manor in Youngsville. Born on January 3, 1931 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late George Raymond Reavis and Madeline Rosebud Hoyle Reavis, and was the widow of Oscar Lee Creech Sr. Anne had retired as the Director of Aging for the Vance County Department of Social Services, and was the primary organizer for the Vance County Senior Center. She was a member of Flat Rock United Methodist Church where she served as choir director and other leadership positions for more than 30 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Flat Rock United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robin Farner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Oscar Lee Creech, Jr. (Linda) of Elm City, Antoine Guy Creech (Teresa) of Harbinger; and Joel Reavis Creech (Carolyn) of Henderson; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four sisters, Frances R. Tucker of Springfield, VA, Jane B. Wallin of Richmond, VA, Carolyn R. Bullock (Lennie) of Greensboro, and Rose R. Power (Doc) of Corpus Christi, TX; and one brother, Hoyle Reavis (Diane) of Henderson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy R. Baker and Helen Kay Reavis; and five brothers, C. B. Reavis, Harold Reavis, Page Reavis, George Reavis, and John Reavis. The family will receive friends following the service on Tuesday at Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery.
