HENDERSON-Anne Faulkner Edwards, age 87, a resident of 1343 Dabney Drive, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at her home.Born in Vance County on March 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Early Howard Faulkner and Ida Pearl Faulkner Faulkner, and was the widow of Carl Nathaniel Edwards.Anne was a retired secretary in the Graphic
Productions Dept. of Roses Stores.She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class, the Womens Bible Circle 1, and formerly worked in the church nursery for 30 years, and volunteered with the childrens choir at First Baptist Church and with the Girl Scout Brownies.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.Burial will follow in the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Edwards Godwin of Cary; one son, Carl N. Edwards, Jr. and wife, Donna Caswell Edwards of Wilmington; and four grandchildren, Jane Cameron Godwin, Carl N. Tripp Edwards, III, Sara Bunting Edwards, and Elijah D. Edwards.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 2 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Al Jackson, Harvey Jackson, Mack Choplin, Wayne Blackwell, Tommy Frazier, and Steve Matheson.
