OXFORD-Annie Lee Elliott Cahill, 79, a former resident of Crawford Currin Rd in Oxford, passed away at Brantwood Nursing Center on Monday, February 5, 2018. Born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia on July 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Ira Lee Elliott and Anna Bell Burns Elliott. Annie Lee was a dedicated military wife while her late husband, John Joseph Cahill, Jr., served in the United States Air Force. She was formerly employed with Travelers Insurance as an Insurance Agent and was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 12 Noon at St. James Catholic Church by the Rev. John Gillespie.
She is survived by one son, John Ira Cahill of Chester, Virginia, and one sister, Geneva E. Hettinger of Adelphi, Ohio.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church 3275 US 158 Bypass, Henderson, NC 27537 or to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
