HENDERSON- Annie Mae McDaniel Hoyle passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Born November 17, 1936 in Vance County she was the daughter of the late William Thomas McDaniel, Sr. and Mary Grace Weaver McDaniel.
Mrs. Hoyle was a life-long member of Carey Baptist Church and member of the Katie Adcock Sunday School Class, and the Joy Club.She served as the Telephone Captain and on the kitchen team for Wednesday night dinners. A dedicated wife for 41 years, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.She was formerly employed at FCX and also played an integral role in the family farming operation.She enjoyed photography, scrap booking, cross stitching, painting figurines, and working in her yard.
A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Carey Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Burgess.
She is survived by her son, William David Hoyle, Sr. and wife, Ginger of Henderson; her daughter, Tammy Hoyle of Stem; eight grandchildren, David Hoyle, Lindsy R. Glover (Justin) Erin H. Gooch (Troy), Jamie R. Overton (Lee), Lauren H. Fuller (Elliot), Luke Renn, Whitney Renn, and Nicholas Hoyle; 14 great grandchildren, Riley, Ella, Jaxton, Cole, Natalie, Dawson, Skylar, Tate, Ace, Axel, Renly, Lydia, Emersyn, and Lily; her sister, Jean M. Abbott of Henderson; her sister-in-law and close friend, Faye H. Wilson of Henderson, her sister-in-law, Jackie H. Gray (Marvin) of Trophy Club, Texas; her brother-in-law, Wayne Pruitt of Henderson; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill McDaniel and Ray McDaniel; two sisters, Martha M. Pruitt and Faye M. Smith; and her special companion, Frank Coley.
The family will receive friends following the service on Sunday at the cemetery.
The family extends a special thanks to Gail LaRue for her attentive care of Mrs. Hoyle during her brief illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carey Baptist Church, PO Box 657, Henderson, NC27536. Those attending the service are asked to wear appropriate face coverings and observe social distancing.
