HENDERSON-Anthony Eugene "Tony" Gupton, age 50, a resident of 229 W. Young Avenue, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Maria Parham Medical Center after a brief illness.Born on December 7, 1963 in Vance County, he was the son of Linwood Eugene "Gene" Gupton and Betsy Pegram Gupton of Henderson.He was employed as a service technician at Time Warner Cable where he had worked for 18 years.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 7th , at 3 pm at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Churchby the Rev. Cleveland Harrison.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Lynna Jarbeck Gupton of the home; six children, Chase Gupton, Leah Gupton, Clint Faulkner, Jason Ott all of Henderson, Brian Ott of Bear Lake, PA, and Jennifer Ramsey of Jamestown, NY; two brothers, Stephen Gupton of Youngsville and Dale Neathery of La Grange; and nineteen grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 1:30 until 3 pm at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, c/o Janelle Jackson, 235 Yowland Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
