Arthur Raymond Buster Edwards, Jr., age 69, a resident of 1581 Gillburg Road, died Sunday, September 19, 2010, in a local nursing home.Born on February 9, 1941 in Durham County, he was the son of the late Arthur Raymond Edwards, Sr. and Minnie Smith Edwards.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Calvin Hedgepeth.Burial will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery at Epsom.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Ramsey of Henderson and Robin Styer of York, PA; seven sisters, Nellie E. Harper, Shirley E. Ellington, Faye E. Roberson, Martha E. Pendergrass, and Ann E. Palzatto all of Henderson and Gail E. Dement and Wanda E. Askew of Kittrell; two brothers, Dennis Edwards and Jerry Edwards both of Henderson; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Jerry and Teresa Edwards at 2789 Rock Mill Road in the Gillburg Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be his nephews.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
