Arthur Lee Hilliard

HENDERSON- Arthur Lee Hilliard, 91, of Raccoon Crossing, died Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Duke Medical Center. Born June 23, 1934 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Ida Wynne Hilliard and Palmer Lee Hilliard and was the widower of Cora Lee Patterson Hilliard. He was a member of Harriett Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Will Breedlove. A private burial will follow at Tungsten Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arthur is survived by his daughter, Teresa H. Brown of Henderson; his granddaughter, Tiffany B. Denton and husband, Johnny of Henderson; and his five siblings, Lawrence Hillard, Robert Hillard and wife, Betty, both of Henderson, Ruby Cifers, Peggy Nickels and husband, David, both of Kittrell, and Tom Hillard and wife, Diane of Henderson.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Charles A. Brown; two brothers, Thurman Hillard and Fred Hillard; and three sisters, Rosa Hilliard, Elsie Hilliard and Alice H. Weaver.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday beginning at 12:30 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of Teresa Brown, 161 Shadowbrook Drive, Henderson, NC 27537.

Serving as pallbearers will be William Weaver, Donald Weaver, Michael Cifers, Jr., Scott Williamson, Ken Patterson and Ray Patterson.
