Barbara Hanford Compton, age 69, a resident of 1311 Hight Street, died Saturday, November 06, 2010, at her home.Born in Vance County on February 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Hulen Hanford and Zona Knight Hanford.She was formerly employed with Revlon.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. George Williams.
She is survived by her husband, John Henry Compton of the home; three sisters, Dina H. Sanford, Patricia H. Rivers, and Jennie J. Hanford all of Henderson; and one brother, Billy Hanford of Anderson, SC.
The family will receive friends at her home at 1311 Hight Street and immediately following the service at Sunset Gardens.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
