HENDERSON -Barbara Ann Grenier lost her long battle with lung disease and went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2016 at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, North Carolina.
Barbara Collins was born a farmers daughter in Ottawa, Canada on August 18, 1944. Her parents, Ivan Collins and Jennie Whitney Collins preceded her in death. In 1961 she met Paul Grenier in Ottawa. They were married on September 1, 1962. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends, RV camping and was a long term member of Saint James Catholic Church in Oxford, and was an active member of the Alter Society.
During their long and wonderful marriage Barbara & Paul lived in numerous interesting places such as Canada, California, and Arizona and traveled whenever possible in their RV.
Over 53 plus wonderful years, Barbara and Paul were blessed with three children, Tammy Gail Kleinert (Michael) of Raleigh, Paul A Grenier (Marlene) of Augusta, Maine and Mark A Grenier (Erin) of Arizona.
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren followed.
She has 3 living sisters who live in Canada.
Barbara will be GREATLY missed.
A memorial service will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11:00 by Rev. John Gillespie.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home as well as at a reception in the Parrish Hall of St. James Catholic Church following the service on Wednesday.
