HENDERSON- Mrs. Barbara Jean Roberson Edwards, age 76, and a resident of 812 Shirley Drive, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on April 23, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Jesse Roberson and Nellie Duke Roberson.Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and member of Gospel Baptist Church as well as a former member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home at 2:00PM.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Ollie Thomas Edwards, Jr. and her son Thomas Lewis Edwards both of the home.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Lynn Edwards and two sisters, Meredith R. Stainback and Mary Elizabeth R. Ogle.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:30 till 2:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
