HENDERSON- Mrs. Barbara Dickerson Marshall, age 68, a resident of 1617 Stewart Avenue, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2104 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on August 22, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Russell Dickerson and Uzallan Stroud Dickerson.Mrs. Marshall was a faithful private duty caregiver and attended Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church at 3 PMby Rev. Allen Ayscue.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Pearce Abbott and husband Randy and Terri Pearce Grissom all of Henderson; two sons, Teddy Marshall of the home and Patrick Marshall and wife Cryss of Greensboro; two sisters, Lila Hight and husband David of Henderson and Phyllis Dickerson and husband Ray of Louisburg; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her best friend Ruby Jean Peoples.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Elaine Dickerson and a sister, Rose Evans.
The family will receive friends before the service from 2 till 3 PM at Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at her home, 1617 Stewart Avenue, Henderson.
