KENLY-Barbara Elizabeth Ann Currin Pruitt, age 71, a resident of 415 E. Fremont Street, died Thursday, May 26, 2016.Born in Vance County on November 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John Currin, Sr. and Annie Montgomery Currin, and was the widow of William Thomas Pruitt, Sr.Ann was a retired payroll clerk for Vance County Schools and was a member of Kenly Church of God.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3pm by Bishop J. Mack Taylor.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by three daughters, Regina Wood of Fredericksburg, VA, Michele Currin of Kenly and Stephanie Haines of Winchester, VA; two sons, William Thomas Pruitt, Jr. of Kenly and Lonnie Andrew Pruitt of Trevose,PA; two sisters, Frances Kossan of Mount Airy and Rhonda Roberts of Muldrow, OK; one brother, Charles Currin of Wilmington; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Miryssa Haines; two brothers, John Currin, Jr. and Danny R. Currin; and her sons-in-law, Lynn Currin and Dennis Wood.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Tommy Pruitt at 2667 Memorial Church Road, Kenly, NC27542.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Kennith Haines, Sr., Kennith Haines, Jr., Brandon Currin, Sgt. Jason Perdue, Donny Cooper, and David Pruitt.
