HENDERSON-Barbara Gail Elliott Wade, age 68, a resident of 185 Pine Ridge Road, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Duke Regional Hospital.Born on July 4, 1946 in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Franklin Elliott and Annie Bray Elliott.Gail was a former employee of Food Lion and was a member at Hermon United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 pm at Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Matthew Robinson and the Rev. John Yount.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Franklin Frank Wade, Jr. of the home; one son, Robert Franklin Scott Wade, III and wife, Stacey of Henderson; one grandson, Jacob Ethan Wade of Henderson; one sister, Peggy Elliott Forlines; and five brothers, Otis Elliott, Ralph Elliott, Clifton Elliott, Owen Elliott, and Elvin Elliott.She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Puryear; and four brothers, Garland Elliott, Julius Elliott, Robert Elliott, and James Elliott.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be her nephews, Garland Elliott, Jr., Lawrence Puryear, Jr, Jay Elliott, Hunter Forlines, Jr., David Forlines, Terry Elliott, Carl Elliott, Russ Elliott, and Kirk Elliott.
