Barry Wayne Newman

WAKE FOREST- Barry Wayne Newman, 70, of Stells Road, died Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his home. Born in Norfolk, VA on February 24, 1951, he was the son of the late Zollie Morton Newman, Jr. and Helen Hershman Newman. He was retired from an auto parts store in Wake Forest. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00AM at Warrendale Cemetery by Rev. Johnny Yount. Barry is survived by his son, Tony Wayne Newman of Wake Forest; a brother, Danny R. Newman (Susan) of Wake Forest; two sisters, Diane N. McDevitt (Joe) and Barbara N. Amick, both of Virginia Beach, VA, his twin sister, Priscilla N. Lamb (Doug) of Wichita Falls, TX; five nephews and a niece. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike McDevitt, Nick McDevitt, Sean Temple, Rodney Lamb, Brad Lamb, and Casey Newman. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery on Thursday.
