HENDERSON- Beatrice Ayscue Coghill, 81, of Rock Mill Road, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at a local nursing home. Born July 13, 1941 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Best Ayscue and James Ayscue and was the widow of Tex Donald Coghill, Sr. She was retired from Americal. When she was a child she attended the former Thomas Chapel Church in Vicksboro. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Hope Baptist Church by Dr. Donald Perkinson. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Beatrice is survived by five sons, Tex Donald Coghill, Jr. of Henderson, Gregory Lang Coghill (Karen) of Oxford, Dennis Melvin Coghill of Henderson, Stacy Dean Coghill (Marissa) of Oxford and Christian Malone Coghill of the home; ten grandchildren, Tex “Don” Coghill, III and Andrea, Brian Coghill, Brittany Coghill, Greg Coghill, Jr. (Brooke), Amanda Coghill, Kathryn Coghill, Meagan Coghill, Heather Coghill, Christian Coghill and Jake Coghill; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by seven sisters, Doris Holloway, Mary Jane Hill, Betty Marie Pegram, Margaret Norwitch, Barbara Jean Shearin, Maxine Joyner and Gracie Ayscue; and two brothers, Joe Ayscue and Haywood Ayscue. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM at Blessed Hope Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Lang and Karen Coghill at 682 Elliott Road, Hicksboro. Serving as pallbearers will be Tex “Don” Coghill, III, Greg Coghill, Jr., Christian Coghill, Rodney Powell, Mike Jones and Shawn Pegram.
