Beatrice Ayscue Thompson

Beatrice Ayscue Thompson age 86, a former resident of Vicksboro, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Rocky Mount.Born on June 6, 1924 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Ida Carroll and William Henry Ayscue and the widow of Jack T. Thompson, Sr.
She was a homemaker and long time member of Shocco United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:30 PM at Shocco United Methodist Church in Vicksboro, by Reverend Eric Schubert.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by a daughter, Faye Thompson Orr and husband, Kenneth, of Rocky Mount; a son, Jack Thomas Thompson, Jr. and wife Debbe of Houston, TX; a son-in-law, Harold Edmonds, of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, David Scott Edmonds and wife, Trish of St. Augustine, FL and Jennifer Faye Orr Vincent, and husband Benjamin of Chapel Hill; and one great-grandchild, Lauren Alexis Edmonds. A daughter, Jeanette Thompson Edmonds, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends for celebration and remembrance of Beatrices love for Jesus Christ, which was demonstrated by her love and kindness every day of her life, in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
