HENDERSON-Frances Elizabeth "Betsy" Kittrell, 90, a resident of 209 Lakeview Drive, died Friday, May 08, 2015 at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh.Born in Vance County on January 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John Hinton Langston and Luna Bartholomew Langston and was the widow of Asa Hardy Kittrell.
She was a graduate of Henderson High School and attended Henderson Business College.
Betsy was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was an active member until her declining health.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Terry Huffines and the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Cameron Kittrell of Henderson and Raleigh; her grandson, John Alexander "Lex" Wilson, III of Smithfield; and her sister, Anne Langston Wilson of Rocky Mount.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Kittrell Wilson; her grandson, Asa Cameron Wilson; and five brothers, John Hinton Langston, Winfred Wilson Langston, Victor Lee Langston, Ralph Leonard Langston and Charles Brooks Langston.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times, they will be at the home at 209 Lakeview Drive.
