Bettie Dunn Williams

Bettie Jean Dunn Williams, age 75, a resident of 1605 Peace Street died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on August 10, 1939 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Dunn and Josie Madolyn Ayscue Dunn.Mrs. Williams was a member of Liberty Christian Church where she served as a deacon.She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Henderson Moose Lodge. A dedicated member of the original staff of Vance Academy, Mrs. Williams was still employed at Kerr Vance Academy where she had worked as a fifth grade teacher, Lower School Director and most recently as Director of Alumni Affairs.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Brandon Russell and Rev. Tammy Ayscue.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Williams of the home; her daughter, Rhonda Williams Bagshawe and husband E.N. Bagshawe of Warrenton; a sister, Jennie Sue D. Horein of Warrenton; and her granddaughter, Madolyn Caldwell Farrington Bagshawe.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna D. Reaves.
The family will receive friends following the service.
