HENDERSON-Betty Rose Grissom, age 71, a resident of 1245 Park Avenue, died Friday, January 09, 2015.Born in Vance County on June 12, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jack Clemons Grissom and Alma Louise Twisdale Grissom.
Betty was a member of Fuller Chapel United Church Of Christ where funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 pm by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue and Dr. Gene Wood.
She is survived by one sister, Doris G. Parrish and husband, Lee Roy of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Gray Grissom, Sr. and Jack Clemons Grissom, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 2 until 3 pm at Fuller Chapel United Church Of Christ.At other times they will be at the home of Doris and Lee Roy Parrish at 928 Abbott Street.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Joey Fuqua, Cameron Fuqua, Patrick Fuqua, Brian Dunman, Tony Allen, and Bobby Richardson.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral home.
