HENDERSON- Betty Parrish Hedgepeth, 79, of North Lynnbank Road, died Monday, February 10, 2025 at Duke University Medical Center. Born January 13, 1946 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Vernell Edwards Parrish and William Herbert Parrish and was the widow of David Jennings Hedgepeth. She was a member of Fuller Chapel Christian Church and the owner and operator of the former Lynnbank Daycare. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Fuller Chapel Christian Church by Rev. Tammy Ayscue. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Betty is survived by her daughter, Angela Hedgepeth Averette and husband, Curtis of Henderson; her son, David Alan Hedgepeth and wife, Dawn of Henderson; five grandchildren, James Alexander Averette, John Madison Averette, Justin Alan Hedgepeth, Leah Danielle Hedgepeth and Logan Nicole Hedgepeth; and two great-granddaughters, Alani Rose Hedgepeth and Anicca Joy Hedgepeth. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, W.H. Parrish, Jr. and Bobby Furman Parrish. The family will receive friends following the service on Friday in the fellowship hall of Fuller Chapel Christian Church. Serving as pall bearers will be Buster Beckham, T. T. Beckham, Donald Coghill, V. W. Denton, Scott Grissom, Kevin Pahl, Billy J. Stanton, and Danny Stanton Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Fuller Chapel Christian Church Youth Fund, 1470 N. Lynnbank Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
