Betty Jean Patterson Pegram, 81, a resident of 2725 Stewart Farm Road, died Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Litchford Falls Healthcare and Rehab, in Raleigh.
Born on December 25, 1935 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Thomas Patterson and Golden Girldine Abbott Patterson.Betty Jean was a retired nurse at Maria Parham Hospital.She was a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ed Blue Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, at 11:00 AM at J. M. White Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Burgess. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, James Wheeler Pegram of the home; one daughter, Susan Pegram Miller of Raleigh; one son, James David Pegram of Puyallup, Washington; two sisters, Joan Williamson, and Shirley Perkinson of Henderson; two brothers, Alton Patterson and Ken Thomas Tommy Patterson all of Henderson; and three grandchildren Nathan C. Miller, Kyle D. Pegram and Derek T. Pegram. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Deborah Williamson and Cora Lee Hilliard
The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Ken Patterson, Scott Williamson, Wayne Williamson, Todd Parrish, Todd Hock, Charlie Brown, Ray Patterson, Allan Pearce and Brian Green.
