HENDERSON-Blanche Schweyer Glover, age 87, a former resident of Willie Currin Road, died Saturday, June 6, 2015, in a local nursing home.Born on August 20, 1927 in Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Schweyer and Ethel McDonald Schweyer, and was the widow of Ambrose Dorsey A.D. Glover.Mrs. Glover was a retired buyer for the former Leggetts Dept. Store in Henderson, and a member of Harris Chapel Untied Methodist Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, and a former choir member..
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 am at Harris Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Glenn Stallsmith.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Johnson and Dianne Edwards and husband, Butch, of Henderson; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren; one brother, Gordon Schweyer of London Ontario, Canada; and two sisters, Eleanor Girardin, and Mae Palmer of Ontario, Canada.She was preceded in death by three sister, Joyce Harris, Irene Fitch, and Bernice Hornsby; and two brothers, Mansell Schweyer and Doug Schweyer; and her son-in-law, Roger Johnson.
The family will receive friends at the home of Dianne and Butch Edwards at 145 Willie Currin Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harris Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Annette Reaves, 1711 St. Andrews Church Road, Henderson, NC27537.
