Blanche Dickerson Stainback, 90, a resident of Oakhill Apartments, died Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Duke Medical Center. Born in Franklin County on October 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Sidney Dickerson and Nora Vaughan Dickerson. Mrs. Stainback was a longtime employee of Eckerd’s Drug Store. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Daniel Blasky. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Dale Stainback and Pamela Stainback Best both of Henderson; five grandchildren, Rodney Dale Peace (Toni), Leslie Dawn Clary (Eddie), Tuesday Rae Pensabene (Tim), Jimmy Keenan Best, and Pamela Whitney Best (Josh Grooms); three great grandchildren, Morgan Peace, Alex Peace Adcock (Jonathan) and Zoe Peace Danehy ( Reed); and one great great granddaughter, Sulli Branch Adcock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Eugene Stainback; seven sisters, Ann D. Tillotson, Hazel Rhodes, Janet Harper, Louella Dickerson, Magdeline Brown, Elsie Dickerson and Grace Daniels; and three brothers, Troy H. Dickerson, Douglas A. Dickerson and George Dickerson. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home. Serving as pall bears will be, Tim Pensabene, Kenneth Taylor, Kenneth Fuller, Mark Pace, Jeff Pace, Eddie Clary, Greg Wheeler, and Inpong Keolavanh.
