Blanche Gupton Stevenson, age 89, a former resident of 229 Green Street, died Monday, May 02, 2011 at Universal Health Care in Oxford.Born in Vance County on February 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Nannie Reams Gupton and Louis Gupton.Mrs. Stevenson was the widow of Charlie Robert Stevenson, Sr.
Mrs. Stevenson was a member of New Life Baptist Church, formerly Second Baptist Church.She was a retired seamstress with Henderson Laundry Company.
Funeral services will be held at Victory Baptist Church on Thursday at 3:00 PM by Reverend Ricky Easter and Pastor Johnny Pruitt.Burial will follow in Middleburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Stevenson is survived by a daughter, Nancy S. Pruitt of Daytona Florida; two sons, Charlie R. Stevenson, Jr. and Bobby A. Stevenson, both of Henderson; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Stevenson and Jerry Stevenson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 till 8:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home at other times they will be at the home.
