HANOVER, IN- Bobby Ray “Mickey” Ellis, 78, of Hanover, IN and formerly of Henderson and Vaughan, passed away June 24, 2023. Born December 7, 1944 in Vance County, he was the son of the late William Henry and Mozelle Bennett Ellis. He worked for General Box and Peck Manufacturing of Warrenton and was retired from Hand Crafted Homes of Henderson. He loved deer hunting, NASCAR and the Washington Redskins. Mickey enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was so proud that two of his great nephews (Dustin Ellis and Bobby Reid, Jr.) were born on his birthday in 1990. At this time, no services will be held. He is survived by his wife, DeLinda Machado; two daughters, Angela Satterwhite and Melissa Elliott and husband, Chad; a step-daughter, Donna Kelly; a son, Wilson Devan Ellis; four granddaughters, Amber Keeter, Kimberly Martin, Emily Elliott and Bethany Elliott; a great grandson, Bennett Michael Martin; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Wilson and Josephine Lamastus; a sister-in-law, Joyce Faye Raynor; four nephews, Michael Ellis, Jay Ellis, Jamie Hunt and Bill Stevenson; five nieces, Joy Smith, Johnnette Parker, Devon Mosely, Denice Roberson and Annette Roberson; and four special brothers-in-law, Jerry Robertson, Clarence May, Bobby Reid and Johnny Reid. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Ellen Reid Ellis; a sister, Christine Hunt; his brother, James Henry Ellis; a niece, Phylis Gayle Landreth; a son-in-law, Larry Satterwhite; and three brothers-in-law, Bill Wilson, Jimmy Lamastus and Donald Hunt.
