DURHAM-Robert Charles "Bobby" Ellis, III, age 53, a resident of Durham, died Friday, January 8, 2015, in Granville County from injuries received in an automobile accident.Born in Durham, NC on December 30, 1962, he was the son of Robert Charles Ellis, Jr. and Carole Kerley Ellis of Kittrell.Bobby attended Durham Tech and was retired from UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016, at 3 pm at Kittrell Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Barbara Murphy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Catherine Willis and husband, Ian of Kittrell. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Charles Ellis, IV; his paternal grandparents, Robert Charles Ellis and Ruth Gardner Ellis; and his maternal grandparents, Claude Kerley and Earline Woodlief Kerley.
The family will receive friends Saturday night, January 16, 2015 from 6 until 7:30 PM.at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of his parents at 2682 Beechtree Trail, Kittrell.
