HENDERSON-Bobby Glenn Richards, 68, of 3056 Faulkner Town Road,Henderson died Wednesday January 6, 2016 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on June 6, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert Odis Richards and Virginia Dare Minor Richards.Mr. Richards was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired security guard and was the Methodist faith.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2 pm at South Henderson Church of God by the Rev. Gary Harper.
He is survived by two daughters, Krystina Richards of Henderson and Heather R. Wall ofErwin; one son,Nicholas Richards of Ft. Drum, NY; two sisters,Jean Pernell of Henderson and Rhonda Johnson of Oxford; two brothers, Robert Richards of Rolesville and Billy Richards of Henderson and his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kaye Slaughter Richards; his sister, Elnor Whitmore; and his twin brother, Bennie Richards.
The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 12:30 until 2 pm at South Henderson Church Of God.
