Bobby Lee Roberts

HENDERSON-Bobby Lee Roberts, age 77, a resident of 3813 Raleigh Road, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at his home. Born in Sanford, NC on January 4, 1933, he was the son of the late Richard Eugene Roberts and Lula Jackson Roberts.Bobby was a graduate of Zeb Vance High School and attended the Henderson Business College. He was a retired Foreman at Harriett & Henderson Yarns, Inc. and was a member of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dr. Carolyn Roy and the Rev. Carol Dean.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Rowland Roberts of the home; three sons, Wilbur Eugene Roberts of Kittrell, Michael Glenn Roberts and Douglas Rowland Roberts of Henderson; one grandson, Kevin Eugene Roberts of Kittrell; three sisters, Betty R. Stanton and husband, Jerry, of Henderson, Katherine R. Dickerson and husband, Titus of Raleigh, and Decie R. Harper and husband, Sam of Henderson; and two brothers, William Hugh Roberts and wife, Pat of Henderson, and Richard Michael Roberts and wife, Gloria of Kittrell.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 3813 Raleigh Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Charles Granger, Craig Edwards, Brandon Parks, Brad Abbott, Matt Clark, Woody Evans, Randy Rowland and Larry Thompson.
