Brenda Hicks Buchanan

HENDERSON- Brenda Jean Hicks Buchanan, 67, of Greystone Road, died Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Rex Hospital. Born August 28, 1959 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Betty Jean Gainey Hicks and Clyde Brown Hicks. She was an LPN at the former Guardian Care Nursing Home of Henderson and a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Will Breedlove. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jeffery Lee Buchanan of the home; her son, Chadwick “Chad” Buchanan (Crystal Medlin) of Nashville; her grandson, Jamison Eli Lee Buchanan; her brother, Mike Hicks (Cindy) of Henderson; two nephews, Dawson Hicks and Wayne Stegall; a niece, Jessica Stegall; and a special great-niece Haleigh Stegall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah H. Stegall.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday beginning at 1:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
