CREEDMOOR-Brenda Jean Edwards Oha, 75, a resident of 1657 Carter Circle, passed awaySaturday, January 18, 2020, at Durham Regional Hospital. Born on May 11, 1944 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Bennett G. Edwards, Sr. and Mattie Roberson Edwards.Brenda was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Creedmoor and a member of the Senior Saints.
She was formerly employed as a Home Health Care Aid for Granville County Senior Services.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at Sunset Gardens by Pastor Jimmy Hall.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Ronald Wilber Oha and her loving dog "Reba" of the home; one step-son, Mark Oha (Ruth) of Mebane; three step-daughters, Becky Oha of Durham, Karen Stewart of Roxboro, and Sarah Oha of Timberlake; two grandchildren, Ashley Stewart and Michael Grinstead; two great grandchildren, Mahailey Grinstead and Brayden McCain; one brother, Michael Edwards of Salem, VA; three sisters, Barbara Wilson of Creedmoor, Diane Medlin (Bobby) of Henderson, and Debbie Edwards of Salem, VA; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Edwards of Henderson and Betty Edwards of Salem, VA.; and her special friend, Sherri Griffin of Raleigh.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Edwards and B. G. Edwards.
The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday at Sunset Gardens.
