Bruce Edward Beal

HENDERSON- Bruce Edward Beal, 79, of Brentwood Lane, died Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his home. Born October 26, 1945 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Mary Frances Short Beal and Lewis Walter Beal, Sr. Bruce was a self-employed carpenter and contractor and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Harriett Baptist Church by Rev. Will Breedlove. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens. Bruce is survived by his wife of 59 years, Polly Dickerson Beal; his daughter, Candy B. Moore and husband, Chris of Henderson; his grandchildren, Brennan Moore and Braylee Moore; three sisters, Bessie B. Wortham, June B. Overby, and Mary Ann B. Allison, all of Henderson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jean B. Hope and Evelyn B. Jackson; and three brothers, Lewis Beal, Jr., John Beal, and Frank Beal. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home; and at other times at the home. Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Overby, Walter Beal, Jimmy Faulkner, Steve Grissom, Bud Hedgepeth, Keith Beal and Brennan Moore. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Harriett Baptist Church Building Fund, 1354 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
