KITTRELL-Bryant Wright, age 85, a resident of 376 N. Chavis Road, died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his home.Born in Wayne County on July 23, 1928, he was the son of the late Bernard Bryant Wright and Bessie Hedgepeth Wright, and was the widower of Rebecca Stone Wright.
Bryant was a retired Foreman for the former George W. Kane Construction Co. and H. G. Reynolds Construction Co.He was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees and was a member ofSunday School Class, a member of the Henderson Exchange Club, and served on the Kittrell Water Association.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 2, at 11:00 AM at Union Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joseph Precht. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane W. Rainey of Oxford and Bessie W. Newman and husband, Pete of Henderson; four grandchildren, Jennifer Rainey Bowman, Katherine Rainey Anderson and husband, Greg, Allison N. Brower and husband, Curtis, and Allen Newman and wife, Maria; four great grandchild, Andrew Brower, Caroline Brower, Jackson Anderson, and Wesley Anderson; his close friend, Dale Pittard; and his caregivers, Carol Bender, Shirley Matthews, and Juanita Fuller.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 376 N. Chavis Road, Kittrell.
